Best travel destination in Bali, Indon & Vietnam for 2?

I am thinking about making a trip to central/south america for around two months in feb/march/april time and am currently trying to work out how much i can see and do given the time and money i have. i have a spending budget of about 2000 british pounds and would like to fly to one place, travel overland visiting as i go and fly back from the final destination of my journey. the costa rica - peru journey ive considered and suggest in the question seems a reasonabe distance to cover in two months as id like to perhaps take a detour to venzuela, do the machu pichu trek at the end and not just spend all my time on buses! i read everywhere that buses are inexpensive in latin america but i still cant seem to get a good idea of actually how much a journey like this would cost. is 2000 pounds woefully unrealistic for a distance such as this considering the other costs of eating and doing things?? to put it another way, given a budget of 2000 pounds, could anyone suggest reasonable start and end points for an around 2 month bus tour of south and/or central america, with an eye on seeing as much as possible?? thanks

You can't travel on a bus from Costa Rica to Peru as there is no road months isn't long enough for the size trip you are thinking of doing. My suggestion is you do a little more research. Get a lonely planet or moon guide I don't think you realize how large of an area you are talking about. Plus most bus travel is slow. there are executive coaches but they cost more. You need to plan when you are going as well as where, figure a budget. What you are taking in terms of clothes you can have extremes in weather from very hot to very cold in the same country. Remember if you go to South America the seasons are opposite of North America and GB. Central America is mostly warm but can get cool in the mountain areas. Have a safe trip

What is the independent travel which I plan and I realise? - Independent travel for me it: independence, a freedom in choosing and decision-making. It is responsibility which lies on me and only on me. Is a way to experience the country, to size up it without relying on luster of tourist magazines, being in private with way of life: people, meal, binge, dances, the nature...
