My boyfriend and I are taking a road trip type vacation in Mid- October from the 11th through the 13th. Originally I wanted to go to Chicago, but I'm not sure I want to now with the high pricing of the hotels. We live about a half hour north of Detroit in Michigan, and I have been trying to search out good places to go that will be fun but within reasoning for price. I want to make it memorable but don't have the money to stay in a five star resort, haha. So, does anybody have any ideas of some travel destinations around Michigan.. I would like to stay within decently near.. Like IL, NY, Canada, OH, IN, WV even upper MIchigan.... I am open to where but I need some advice on ...... everything! lol... Please and THANK YOU so much in advance!
