I will be traveling to the U.S. for the first time ever next month. Here's my flight plan: I will leave my destination and arrive at the Washington Dulles International Airport - a 14-hour flight. Then I have to wait at that airport for 7 hours before taking a flight to the state I wanna go to. I was wondering if there is a place at the Washington Dulles International Airport that I can take a shower at sometime during my 7-hour wait. Shower, wash my hair, whatever. Thank you in advance. KK
Find out which of the airline clubs have showers. Then buy a day pass
Two ideas: *** Check into a hotel near Dulles airport to take a shower and perhaps even a nap or a swim. I often do this on trips with long layovers. Some hotels will allow you to check-in for a few hours at a cheaper rate. Let them know you're just on a flight layover and would like to stay for the day. The nicest hotel near the airport is the Hyatt - with free complimentory shuttle service from the airport (a short ride to the hotel). For a full list of hotels near the airport (within 2 miles of the airport) visit of them have free shuttles to and from the airport - but be sure to give yourself pleanty of time to get BACK to the airport to catch your next flight. *** For a cheaper option - go to the nearby Herndon Community Center (it's just 4 miles from the Dulles airport).and has a pool, gym, showers etc admission fee is just $6.25 but you'll need to take a taxi to get there. I'd estimate the taxi could cost around $10-15 each way (possibly less). But it's way cheaper than getting a hotel room. Good luck and enjoy your trip!
Where are you coming from??? And no, there are no showers in ANY airport. Why not get a hotel? Rent one near the airport and take a shower there!

| What is the independent travel which I plan and I realise? - Independent travel for me it: independence, a freedom in choosing and decision-making. It is responsibility which lies on me and only on me. Is a way to experience the country, to size up it without relying on luster of tourist magazines, being in private with way of life: people, meal, binge, dances, the nature... |
