Tips for travelling by coach in a big group?

I'm going to Germany on a 15 hour coach trip. There are about 20 of us and we are going from Devon to Dover, which is 6 hours and then 1.5 hours on the ferry from Dover to Calais, and then about 9 hours through France and Belgium and to our destination in Germany. I am going with 2 close friends and I know some of the others on the coach. Does anyone have any tips on travelling for so long by ferry. We are thirteen and the journey begins at 4 am so we will probably be sleeping until 7 or 8 am. I have never travelled so far by coach and was wondering if you had any tips on what to do, how to travel comfortably etc. Sorry its so long, i'm new to yahoo answers but I will give maximum points to the longest, most detailed answer thank you =P x

No. You would not tip a train driver or the pilot of an aircraft. A day trip on an excursion is different. Get plenty of sleep the night before because if you are like me you will at best doze rather than sleep on the coach. Take plenty to drink, still not fizzy and avoid alcohol. chocolate and orange has a high puke factor so avoid it have one but not the other. Have a pee at every break I jest not but just stretching your legs will be good wriggle your toes to prevent DVT

1, take a pen and paper with you, if you get off the coach, take down the registration number so you know your getting back on the right coach. 2, take a pillow, or scarf, it's usually cold on the ferry when your outside, and you can use the scarf rolled up as a pillow! 3, make sure you dont leave your valuables on the coach, have a small bag that you can put camera's/phones etc in, that zips and you can take along when you go out of the coach. 4 take some paracetimols with you, and a bottle of water, if you get a headache, or someone else does, you have them, and it wont make the journey a nightmare. (2 500mg every 4-5 hours should keep the headache away) 5, anti sickness tablets, and/or plastig bags that dont have holes in, just incase. 6 make sure tha tyou secure your luggage, as people will be getting off and on the coach, and if something goes missing, it will be next to impossible to get it back. (make sure you make a note of serial numbers on phones/camera's etc) 7 emergency food supplies! make sure you have something with you to eat, as it's a long trip! edit_ 8 try to stay off fizzy/carbonated drinks, tea/coffee, fruit juice drinks. as these will make you want to go to the toilet! plain water usually doesnt make you want to go to the toilet.
