Alright, I need big help from anyone who has good basketball experience. I have big basketball tryouts in just six days, and I'm about the sixth best out of fifteen kids on a sign up team! Yes, I know that isn't very good, so I really need to shape up, I've been practicing very hard for the past couple weeks, really working on layups, ball handling, and freethrows. I just made 9/10 freethrows today, 4/5 layups, and I'm struggling with ball handling, I'm about average at ball handling. The only freethrow I missed was a heartbreaker, so I easily could have got 10/10, and the one layup wasn't even close (my first layup of the day) so I easily could have got 5/5 aswell. I really need to work on ball handling, because it's a very critical point of the game. I'm only 5 foot, I'm 98 pounds, and I'm a seventh grader (my middle school is seventh graders and eighth graders only, no sixth graders.) The seventh grader team last year went 9-1, and the only game they lost was a score of 72-71, so as you see this coach is a very good one, because the previous year the team was undefeated. My middle school's eighth grade team is pre-ranked 3rd in the state, and 78th in the USA because that coach passed on such great players. My seventh grade team is preranked 5th in the country, because of the two years this guy has coached, he has given a 19-1 record, now that's one great coach. Also, the eighth grade team last year went 10-0, and only had one close game, that was mainly from the great coaching by Mr. K who passes on great teams. Mr. K's other prior experience was he coached a travel team three years ago, before he got the middle school job, and his team went 38-2, and was the runner-ups in the state tournament. In his middle school playoff history, he's gone 7-1, in the playoffs, becoming runner-ups las year, and his first year, they went 4-0 in playoffs (14-0 altogether) winning the state championship. The way playoffs go for my state are city championship, county championship, semifinals with the four teams left, then championship. What I'm trying to say, is this is one big team! There are 400 boys at our school, and over 100 are trying out for the seventh grade basketball team, there are about 200 seventh grade boys, over half of the seventh grade boys are trying out for this team! The coach can take up to 25 players, but he said he likes to keep it at 20 or below, everyone knows he'll take a 17 man roster, because he has all three years of his coaching history. He said he likes that number. I need big tips of what I can do in the next six days. This is critical for me, I really want to make this team, even if I'm a third string, please, help!
USA sucks!
Do all the things other people don't like doing. Rebound, play defense, hustle, dive for loose balls. I wasn't always the best player out there but i did everything others didn't. I took pride in doing those thing, i knew i wasn't going to get a scholarship, But i get play jr college ball with my hustle

| What is the independent travel which I plan and I realise? - Independent travel for me it: independence, a freedom in choosing and decision-making. It is responsibility which lies on me and only on me. Is a way to experience the country, to size up it without relying on luster of tourist magazines, being in private with way of life: people, meal, binge, dances, the nature... |
