He will be 6 months at the time. Short flt from Colorado to Vegas. Going to rent a car when I get there. Plan to bring stroller,car seat base and carrier. Should I check in the base and carrier? Or should I gate check everything?My mom is probably flying with us but I am worried on how to haul everything around including our luggage.

Check with your rental car company and see if they can provide a car seat. When we took our daughter to Virginia they were able to provide a car seat, so we didn't have to carry one through the airport. It might be a small extra fee, but it was worth it.

I would check everything and invest in and take as LITTLE as possible. Statistics show that we only really need 50% of what we actually pack for trips. If you are going to be staying for awhile, try and ship some things as it will be easier on you. Good luck!
