I would like to visit Asia this year (i whish i could go to India or somwhere in southeastasia) - but the problem is that i have only time in summer (July-August). I dont like rain so it should be a place not affected by the Monsoon. (I've heard that Indonesia is dry; but they have Ramadan during this august.) so, where could i go? any other tips?

Avoid buying too much stuff. Asians love to get tourists in their hands. I was in Vietnam visiting my grandma and we went on a tour. The price was different for those who were tourists and those who could speak Vietnamese. lol

Try out North India / Western part of India. You may want to explore Rajasthan / Uttaranchal / Himachal your stay check out great vacation packages at the below link http://qnetbiju.myqnsite.com/ShopNow.aspx

Good on you for listing SEA as one of your choices! If you are coming to SEA, expect some rain, we are in the tropics after all. However you won't experience any flooding or massive winds etc. For e.g. if you visit the South-West Malaysian islands, you will experience the end of a monsoon season. If you have the chance travel through SEA, visit Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Cambodia. Despite being so close to each other, each country has distinctive cultures and flavours. Yes, Malaysia and Indonesia will be in Ramadan mode however they are fairly open if you are a tourist/visitor. The country does not stop or shut down just because it’s the fasting month. They still cater for the millions of other non-Muslims. :) Also, use AirAsia - the budget airline that operates quite frequently between the countries! Good luck on your decision!

Why don't you come sri lanka? Sri Lanka has been known as one of the worlds most beautiful and diverse exotic holiday destinations. Sri Lanka lies in the Indian Ocean off the southern tip of the coast of India. The island is a proximal 65.610 sq. km. The coastline gives way to lowland plains, growing coconut and rice. In the mid country rubber vies with gems, while green carpets of tea clothe the central mountain ranges, reaching heights of some 2.432 meters. If you wish travel to sri lanka please contact best travel agent in that country. It will be easier to you.

The rain is just there, I have been in Bangkok in April, July and September and one afternoon of rain maybe. I have heard it rain all day in these months when I have not gone there. It's a chance you take during this period of time. You make allowances for the rain. More time on the road, do it later whatever. Since you don't like rain, don't travel to asia during April to November, it can rain, storm, have typhoons or hurricanes. You cannot avoid it. Just accept it and make the most of it or don't travel there. It's just water.

I dont know why u are avoiding rain.In Asia in this season u cant avoid rain but i can ensure that rain will not a big factor for your moving one placer to another.I suggest to u visit in India-Bangladesh .i think u will get variation in this region.and enjoy it more than any other place thought there is no materialistic beauty but a natural beauty.here the link given gets more Asian friends who are give more details if u are want

Frankly, it is rainy season in Thailand also so don't come.

What is the independent travel which I plan and I realise? - Independent travel for me it: independence, a freedom in choosing and decision-making. It is responsibility which lies on me and only on me. Is a way to experience the country, to size up it without relying on luster of tourist magazines, being in private with way of life: people, meal, binge, dances, the nature...
