I want to travel from the UK to france, Italy, Greece, Germany <maybe> Spain.... whats the cheapest best way to see everything? What is the must see stuff? What is the must Avoid???? Any tips on cheap accomodation or nice places that are normally missed by tourists?
If you want to see all that, the easiest thing may be to travel by train using the eurailpass You can also book flights in advance and it may be super cheap (and fast!). Try the low-cost airlines' websites such as ryanair.com and easyjet.com (there are tons of others, depending on where you are going... just google them up). Must see? It also depends on where you are going and what you are doing. For instance, if you are in France, Paris is an asbolute must (try going to the "smaller" museums, for example... for instance, I absolutely love the Rodin museum... even more than the Louvre... and it is a lot less crowded). But if you like wines, then a must-do is the Cotes-du-Rhone or the Bordeaux regions... If you like natural landscapes, then by all means go to the Alps (Grenoble, Aix-en-Provence, Annecy... and even more south to Nice, Cannes, etc.). If you are traveling with friends, try renting a car... it is a relatively inexpensive option and you can see a lot and have the freedom to move around. Finally, for cheap accommodation and more tips, try thorntree.lonelyplanet.com. The forum there is absolutely fantastic! Have a good trip!

Is a way to experience the country, to size up it without relying on luster of tourist magazines, being in private with way of life: people, meal, binge, dances, the nature... |
