I am studying Biotechnology and my favorte books are 1984 and Fight Club, just for you to have an idea of my interests. Any other travel tips for Boston are welcome =)
First, Harvard and MIT are not in Boston, they are in Cambridge. And they do have famous writers and scientists who might not want to meet you. While 1984 is a good book, FIGHT CLUB stinks. But I think Professor Gates of Harvard might want to speak with you about FIGHT CLUB. Have fun!
Lots of scientists at MIT, don't know if you will get to meet any of them as they are very busy
If there are scientists at MIT whom you should meet, then you already know their names and are already familiar with their work. If you want to have some weird fun at MIT, visit TMRC or MITSFS. If I have to explain to you what those are then you have no business being anywhere near MIT. For Harvard, simply go and hang around Harvard Square. You'll meet a few Harvard students, a professor or two (or at least people who look like they should be professors) in a bookstore, and bunches of people with no visible purpose. If you wander into Harvard Yard or over to the Harvard Museums, you'll find other people who are trying to inhale the atmosphere while not actually being Harvard students or faculty. Don't miss the Blaschka family's work.

| What is the independent travel which I plan and I realise? - Independent travel for me it: independence, a freedom in choosing and decision-making. It is responsibility which lies on me and only on me. Is a way to experience the country, to size up it without relying on luster of tourist magazines, being in private with way of life: people, meal, binge, dances, the nature... |
